I have been supporting individuals of all ages and families for nearly three decades. I am driven by compassion, guided by insight, integrity, and authenticity, and rewarded by empowering others to embrace life’s adventure. I understand we sometimes encounter challenges that inspire the need for extra support and encouragement. Regardless of the type of therapeutic support you are seeking, I am committed to standing alongside you and challenging and encouraging you as you continue on your path.
Professional Experience
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, a state certified domestic violence and sexual assault counselor, and I am certified in Brainspotting and narrative therapy.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma and know how to support people as they heal from difficult, often life-changing experiences.
I have shared my counseling skills, as a volunteer or employee, with children, youth, adults, and families at organizations including Crisis Connection, Cornerstone, The Emily Program, Person to Person, Washburn Center for Children, and YouthLink. I am committed to working with you and/or your family holistically and often incorporate a range of experiential activities in our sessions to help facilitate your individual process.
My personal career history includes educational, nonprofit, and business leadership so I understand how myriad pressures can impact us individually and relationally. I am skilled at asking insightful questions that will spark ideas within you to impact personal change.
A Commitment to Community
I have a strong commitment to supporting our community and I am proud to have received several distinguished awards for service including: American Institute for Public Service Jefferson Award, Eleven Who Care Volunteer Recognition Award, Donald G. Padilla Community Classics Volunteer Service Award, CityBusiness “Unsung Hero” Volunteer Award, National Sjogren’s Syndrome Association Outstanding Volunteer, among others.
I am passionate about maintaining balance and enjoy spending time with family and friends, adventure travel, competitive sailing, and open-water swimming.
